The road adjacent my house has a stray Indie puppy.
With a coat that is brown and all fluffy.
Every time he sees me walking past,
Out he would come, running fast.
Then he would flip and show me his smooth tummy!
In India, we are a one billion strong population and life just seems to seep and flow into every space that it can find. The cities are therefore crowded but vibrates with an energy that is also a joy to behold and brings smile on faces.
My daily walks take me through a few lanes around our residential colony that has stray dogs. The Indian stray breed is a well-mannered breed, very friendly and affectionate. I spend some time with them every morning and believe firmly that they would make a great pet, if adopted. Unfortunately the Indian breed of strays somehow find themselves unlucky in this respect and therefore spend their lives on the roads braving the harshest of conditions.
This particular pup is about 6 months old and is a joy to watch. Hence this limerick, in an attempt to spread some smile.
