Oh twilight! Why have you decided To prolong your display today? Why do you want to tempt the world With your hues today? Can’t you just disappear and Let the night take over? Your hues today are in any case, Not brighter than the hues I wear this evening; The pink of my lips The red of the vermillion of my hair’s parting The hues of my golden bangles The orange in the colour of my dress Are far superior to your hues this evening. A sense of elation has captured my heart Happiness that I cannot keep bound. Can’t you see love in my hues this evening? Yet you choose to linger at the horizon. I beseech you to dissolve in the darkness of the night At the earliest. My heart is mad with longing. For sprouting of tomorrow’s dawn, When riding on these steel rails My beloved, To me he will come!

Yes….isn’t the picture marvellous? Love poems usually do not come to me very easily but this picture somehow blew me off. The moment I saw the pic, it was like “I have to write a romantic poem to go with this.”. Thank you so much for letting me know that you liked my write so much. 😊 🙏
