Is it in the nature of nature to be heartless? It's fury, at times, unleashed on the world causes untold misery, destruction and death. Where does it hide all its anger? At what depths under the ground or peaks of mountain reaching up to the sky does it brew? Under which heavenly bodies' influence does it lose it's composure? Supressing it's emotions for days, it erupts suddenly, shaking landmasses, raining fire from the sky or swooping in a terrifying swirl of wind and water over helpless beings. Tasked with sustenance Stressed and overworked at times... Untamed energy.

A lot of untamed energy that inadvertently ends up hurting us at times as if Nature is punishing us for not giving her the care and respect she deserves. Beautifully written. Great take on the prompt!

Nature’s nature is to renew and protect. Floods cleanse; fires garner new growth; winds filter the air; snow cools and gives earth a rest; heat brings warmth and growth. I agree with Ashok, nature’s nature is balance. It’s humans that, unfortunately, get in her way at the wrong place and the wrong time. Beautifully written piece, Goutam.
