Books take me On an adventure, A whirlwind chase, Of pirates and lost treasures. Books take me On a path of lovers' destiny. Words of print, It's caress, soft and soothing. Books engage me In a lecture of philosophy. Teaching me sustenance, Amidst everyday melancholy. Books stir my soul. Poetic thoughts in pages abound. Paens of nature's beauty, Is food fed to my soul. Books educate me. Tales of valour of warriors and kings. Inspiring me to emulate, Follow in footsteps of the Great. Books are friend, philosopher, guide Keeper of nuggets of wisdom. A world ensconced within their ambit. Sanctuary for all those who seek.
