Song of the Road

The roads have a song
For all those who choose to listen.
It hums the tune as it goes along,
Twisting and winding; 

A vagabond
Who cares not
For the destination.
In the lap of the hills
It sits cradling,
Learning a note from the wind
And borrowing the lyrics of silence.


From one hill to the next
It meanders on
Singing a song for our hearts
As we ride on!
