Someone’s presence is so often taken for granted. The chatter, the tone, the poise, substance all define character of an individual. Over years our conversations build bridges, shapes relationships, fuels ambitions, invokes sentiments, range of emotions. Then, one day, everything falls silent. All that is left behind are, memories, longing, regret and so many things-unsaid. Words reverberate; Knowledge that he imparted. Gripped by pain, sadness. The parting, hard to accept. So many things remained unsaid.

So many things remained unsaid ….that is a very heavy burden to carry Goutam.

Very true….The pain, of not having said and the realisation that it will possibly never ever be said, is immense.

It’s difficult to come to terms that realisation, one of the hardest parts of the grieving process. Take care, Goutam. 🤗

Hi Punam…thank you so much. Yes, the pain lingers and keeps hitting me with an intensity at frequent intervals. It is so difficult to digest the thought that I will never see him again. 🙏

Thank you so much for your feedback. I have been experiencing these feelings ever since my father died last month. Since then I have been trying to grapple with a range of emotions, some of which is flowing into my writing.
