Green Future

Greed of humans.
Unfettered growth.
Mindless consumption.
Race for possession.

The era-anthropocene.
Witness to destruction mindless.
An approach, short-sighted.
Its impact on environment
Would reverberate.
For the generation of future, 
Who knows what misery does await? 

If only there was hope-
Of a green world.
Of birds' songs.
Of fall and winter.
Of spring and rain's romance.
Of doors and windows
Opening to a green expanse.

If only we humans,
Worked sincerely
For a green future. 
Nature's ally,
Every man, attempts to nurture.
